Burlington Blues

Today went out with my sister Dolly to Tim Hortons for a coffee, like we had been planning for quite some time. The funny part was when we got there, about 15 minutes away from home we realised we didn't have any cash!

We were like holy shit, now what? And so started the furious search for some moolah. My sister's car isn't exactly what you would call untarnished or laundered. We had to dig through 2 feet (i'm not kidding) of debris to stockpile with great difficulty (hold your breath) - 3.5 dollars. Yes ladies and gentlemen, 3.5 dollars! Now I know how a beggar feels walking into Starbucks with his treasured 3.5 dollars.

And so we walk in to Tim Hortons, after having giggled to death in the car looking for money. We are still stiffling another round of cackle and look up at the menu hoping to find something for the 2 of us for 3.5 dollars. We felt so proud when we handed over exactly 3 dollars in pennies, quarters and dimes for 2 extra large (can you believe it, extra large!) cups of hot chocolate. All that digging was well worth it.

Sat down and had a great chat about a variety of topics including guys, girls, family, friends, dormitories and residence halls. Man I wish I could do this more often. Its fun to be home, with family.

More on that later. I have something else to share. I will be meeting a friend of mine from school after 10 years tomorrow. He was with me from Kindergarten till the 7th grade. He then moved to Canada to continue life at Waterloo and is now working thereabouts. Waited a long time to meet Atamjeet. A very long time.
