So I began my tryst with Yoga today, and it was great. It requires me to wake up at 5:45 at the latest and be at the teaching terrace by 6:00. The class goes on from 6:00 to about 7:30, and we begin with pranayam and other breathing exercises and move onto asanas.
It was a very good experience, and I learnt exactly how flexible my body is [which it isn't much of]. The idea is to slowly make it much more so, all the while becoming more healthy and fit.
The advantage of yoga in the early morning is that I get some really fresh air, as well as get the chance after the class to take my time reading the paper and getting ready for work. I no longer have to hurry up and run, and this acts as a big stress buster. :)
