So today marks 1000 kilometers (kms) on my car, the Maruti Alto LXi number plater 6126. I’m off to get her serviced tomorrow.

May there be many more cleanups, and many more pleasurable rides. The first thousand kms have been great, and given me many memorable rides, including one with 6 people in the car (one guy was sitting on the gear.. and boy did I have a hard time shifting them.. ahem, i meant the gears)

All in all, a fun time

So I learnt, and I did.

What did I learn?

I learnt from my friend Som that one should always have maps, and a plan..

And what did I do?

and so I went out and got a couple of a couple of road maps (read 4).

*wide grin*

The next step is to get a good camera bag to carry my gear, and a tripod. After that, the roads are mine to roam.

So I went and had a good fight with my car dealer and wrangled out a compromise to get my car tomorrow (Thursday, 28th September 2006) instead of 4-5 days later.

I am all set to rock, with the exception of finding a good music system for my car. I shall start the research for one, in earnest, so as to quickly have a drivable set of wheels.
