The title track blows you away. I mean, really. The best title track I've heard in a while. Do NOT miss it.
As for the movie, it's quite good. I wasn't expecting anything more than some crappy acting and a chocolate boy image from Ranbir. But the guy delivers. Minisha Lamba sucked royally, as did Deepika. Bips is another story though ;)
The movie is quite straightforward, with a no brainer story line. It's the corny jokes and slang that really make the movie fun.
When I say Bling, you say King, Bling is King, Bling is King
Okay I just made that up using a line sung by Hard Kaur in Singh is Kinng's big-ass hit, Bas Ek Kinng.
The songs for the movie have made me want to go in to see the movie on the first day first show basis. Ofcourse, I cannot really do that as it's a working day and I'm not crazy enough to go for the first show @ 8:30 AM!
All said and done, this weekend I definitely intend to watch the movie.
One of the better short films I've seen.. quite simply made yet moving..
I saw a movie called Baran. It has been over month since I saw it, but whenever I think of it, it brings tears to my eyes. Now I'm not one to cry often or even get so emotional out of hand, but this movie strikes a chord in me like no other.
The socio-economic aspects in the movie are very well researched and portrayed. The movie is set in 2001 Iran, where there are a lot of Afghani refugees. These refugees work illegally at construction sites to earn bread and butter for their families.
Amit pointed out this real sweet yet quirky romantic comedy called Happy Accidents and was after our lives to see it. At every lunch table conversation, Happy Accidents warranted a mention.
So a couple of days back, I decided to see what the hype was all about, and then either get him to shut up or urge him to keep advertising ;)
Happy Accidents is a movie made in 2000 starring Marisa Tomei (as Ruby Weaver) and Vincent D'Onofrio (Sam Deed). Everything about the movie is quirky, right from the characters of the two protagonists to the camera angles, the picture quality (looks like a cross between home video and professional videography) and the storyline.
It's about how Ruby meets Sam on a bench in the park one fine day, and how she keeps thinking about a quick conversation she has with him about time, relationships and love. As the movie progresses, she is in a relationship with him, and the whole story unfolds through her talks with her psychiatrist. Sam claims to be from the future and is here to find her after he sees her photography in a curio store.
As the story progresses, the plot thickens to the point that if you turned over the vessel, none of it would spill out. It's a hilarious yet touching movie about love, time, relationships and fun. At every turn there is a red herring, and in the end you could open a red herring store.
It's a brilliant movie, and nothing I say or don't say can change that. All of you must watch and be enlightened by this sweet and fun film.

Cheeni Kum is a mind bending movie which truly captures the eternal love-war situation between men and women.
There are some really good lines about crying, picking up a woman (yes woman, not girl) and rain/umbrella (chattri).
I won't spoil it for you, but I have to say that Amitabh-Tabu jodi (pair) is the best on-screen rapport I have seen in years, maybe ever.
Nice movie, clean story, bad Aish. Abhishek does a great job, and the direction is quite fine. It's loosely based on Dhirubhai Ambani's story, and does a fair job of it.
