I'll follow you into the dark

Do listen to this song.. it made me sad, but in a good way..

This is a cover, but still good. Song is "I'll follow you into the dark" by Death Cab For Cutie

I changed the title of my blog while being continuously amazingly multi-talented and *brilliant* Mr. Richard P. Feynman. I have had many a person ask me who in God's name that is, but I'm surprised whenever I hear of an engineer or a physicist who has never heard of him.

Not only was Mr. Feynman a God of Physics (winner of a Noble prize, shared the invention of the atomic bomb and the father of Quantum ElectroDynamics), but he was also a good painter, biologist, drummer (bongo) and safe cracker. He had a sense of humour surpassed by very few. Oh, and he was also considered the father of quantum computing and nanotechnology :D

You have to read his books to understand who he was, as a person. The best place to start is to read "Surely you're joking Mr. Feynman". After that, the internet and wikipedia are your sources.

May the force be with you.

Sinhagad aborted

We decided to go out this weekend, and carefully (maybe not) planned a trip to Sinhagad with Rahul. We managed to take off from ground zero at around 3:30 in the afternoon.

Someone should have told us well meaning folks that it was a suicide attempt to mount that hill on a Sunday afternoon. We made it to the bottom with no problems at all, but there we hit our first (and only) technical snag. There was a lot of traffic on the hill, running into 3 hours of delay to get to the top. The cops were asking folks to turn back and not add to the mayhem.

With a stapler in my hand..

... I felt like a man.

It was truly hilarious to see myself fighting with a stapler once I realised that there were NO pins to be found in the copy room. I was kinda pissed since the only other source of pins was to sneak into someone's cubicle or walk up one floor to my own.

A life less ordinary

The weekend was fun, with a trip to Mumbai (drove myself up and down in my Alto) and some good times with cousins. The drive itself was okay, considering I had some really good loud music to keep me company on the drive down.

Harsh realities of the indian way..

It's hilarious!! Makkad Man is India's answer to Spiderman. I was ROTFL. Unfortunately it's in Hindi, so English speaking audiences please excuse.

Really funny email ids

Man have you ever come across really stupid email addresses like these, if so post them here in the comments:

  • banana_mama@hotmail.com
  • king_of_the_loo@hotmail.com

Six Flags over Georgia

Me, Kat and Jaro had gone to the Six Flags over Georgia (SFG) for the GATech day there. It was simply amazing. We had big plans of eating out before going there, but that didn't work out.

SFG was fun. We went on so many rides and even played some games on the side. Kat won a cute Hippo and an even cuter Odie (from Garfield). We also got our selves a variety of small soft toys. Myself, I got a cute orange fish! :)

I also met up with Amalesh and other Tum5 folks there and took some rides with them too. It was great. An amazing night out with friends.

Rain is falling chama-cham-cham

Came into the office at around 1:00 after a tiring day (slept at something like 5:00 in the morning coz I couldn't think straight). A few minutes later it starts raining. The first proper rain we have had in a few days now.

I walked right into Marsha's office and told her I'm going for a walk in the rain. She was like you really want to do that? I was like yeah, come on! Its the best think that can happen to me today. I picked up my rain jacket, my camera and my iPod and walked right out. Ahh the smell of wet earth was heavenly. Took a few pictures but none of them were good enough to post here (still have to go through them and if any good ones exist, they will be on here). Was playing "Sawan barse tarse dil" on my iPod as I trudged along.
